Becoming a Master Aviator – Helicopter Curriculum

Our new Master Aviator helicopter curriculum allows operators to demonstrate their advanced skills on a variety of model types. Check with to see the newest course offerings, as the program is continually refined to optimize training effectiveness.

Core Courses

All Helicopter Master Aviator candidates must complete these courses:

  • A minimum of one Initial, Recurrent or Helicopter Instrument – Recurrent training event every eight months
  • Advanced Energy Management
  • Advanced Helicopter Crew Resource Management (CRM)
  • Advanced Helicopter Surviving Inadvertent Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC)
