Master Aviator – Fixed-Wing Curriculum

Becoming a Master Aviator – Fixed-Wing Curriculum

Our fixed-wing curriculum now covers multiple manufacturer types and models. Operators can further their personal development and enhance safety by challenging themselves with industry-leading advanced training.

All Fixed-Wing Master Aviator candidates must complete:

  • Ongoing Training (one course required every eight months) – An initial, recurrent or prior experience training event is required every eight months
  • Core courses (four courses required)
  • Specialty or enrichment simulator courses (two courses required)
  • eLearning or LiveLearning courses (two courses required)
  • The IS-BAO eLearning Library (ten courses required) – Courses designed for IS-BAO registration qualification or proactively safety conscious operation.
  • International Procedures Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) (one course required)

Core Courses (four courses required)

  • Advanced Rejected Takeoff Go/No-Go
  • Advanced CRM/Human Factors Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT)
  • Advanced Energy Management
  • Advanced Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT)

 

International Procedures LOFT (one course required)

  • IPC LOFT – Latin America
  • IPC LOFT – Europe
  • IPC LOFT – Atlantic
  • IPC LOFT – Pacific
  • IPC LOFT – Polar Ops

Elective Courses (two specialty/enrichment and two eLearning/LiveLearning courses required)

The specialty and enrichment and eLearning/LiveLearning® courses vary based on aircraft type, but include courses such as:

  • RVSM
  • Safety Management Systems for Managers
  • Air Medical Resource Management
  • Fatigue Management
  • Runway Safety
  • Specialty Runway Courses
  • Weather Radar
